Exhibition of commissioned installations by international artists, within places of worship.

Art in Sacred Places brought together places of worship and contemporary artists in a unique exhibition trail, revitalising traditional links betwenn art and religion in an innovative collaboration between artists, faith communities and schools.

Twelve locations in the London Boroughs of Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets housed newly commissioned works within sacred buildings of immense architectural and social interest. The exhibitions aims were deliberately open and exploratory, aiming to create a dialogue between artists, audiences and faith communities.
